Cyber Development Officer at the National Home Guard Staff

About the Unit
The National Home Guard Staff, part of the National Home Guard Unit within the Headquarters, is the staff of the National Home Guard Commander to lead and direct the unit production and develop the combat capability of the Home Guard. The combat capability of the Home Guard consists of military units such as military region staffs, military region units, home guard battalions, territorial units, and the Home Guard Combat School.
The National Home Guard Staff consists of a staff section, implementation department, planning department, and support department. The team spirit within the National Home Guard Staff is strong and characterized by good cooperation, lack of prestige, striving for simplicity, openness, and a high ceiling.
The Planning Department is responsible for military unit development, long-term planning, and development for the combat capability. The Planning Department consists of the military unit section, development section, and planning section.
Main Responsibilities
The position is part of the planning section. The tasks involve developing the cyber defense capability within the Home Guard. This includes:
- Leading cyber defense development within the combat capability together with military regions
- Being the coordinator for the cyber defense function within the Home Guard
- Developing and following up the cyber capability development plan for 2025-2030
- Being the contact person between the Home Guard and the Armed Forces' cyber defense system
The Home Guard is in a growth phase, which means that the tasks may evolve over time.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Academic degree, at least 180 credits (3 years/bachelor level) with a relevant technical or political science focus for the position
- Current and relevant education and/or work experience in information security/cybersecurity
- Relevant experience in leading projects
- Good knowledge of computer systems, computer networks, and data security
- Good skills in MS Office
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing

You are a good team player who finds it easy to cooperate and create and maintain good relationships. Furthermore, you are independent, structured, and meticulous in your work. DESIRABLE
- Relevant experience in total defense-related issues
- Relevant experience in inter-agency cooperation
- Relevant experience working in a SOC (Security Operations Center)
- Previous experience with the Home Guard's command system
- Relevant work experience from the defense sector with a primary focus on IT security

Employment type: Permanent. The Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.
